During the summer season, the mountain hut is a key stop for hikers following the GR55 (a variant of the GR5) and the trails of the Vanoise National Park. Accessible in about one hour on foot from the Fontanettes car park, it is an ideal outing from Pralognan-la-Vanoise, whether for a gourmet break, an overnight stay in the mountain hut, or as a starting point towards the surrounding glaciers and peaks. Its strategic location makes it a popular base for discovering alpine wildlife, flora, and the iconic landscapes of the Vanoise in summer.
In winter, the mountain hut is set in the snowy environment of the Pralognan-la-Vanoise ski resort, offering a unique setting between ski area and high mountains. Accessible by ski, snowshoes, or ski touring, it is a privileged stop for lovers of alpine routes.
